Treasure Sentinels is looking for volunteers for the areas listed below. Treasure Sentinels is managed and staff 100% by volunteer labor. Our current strategic plan is to allow the maximum amount of finance to flow to the charitable ventures.

Fund Raising Coordinator

This position will begin working with the Public Relations Champion to develop and lead a program to meet the goals of the organizations financial goals. Currently there are two primary projects to focus on

Assisting the Trail Life USA Troop TX-0135 in securing funds. These funds are for purchasing equipment, paying for activities, create a scholarship for membership, purchase awards and materials, fund trips, and host social events for recruitment and education. This initiative will also assist in securing corporate donors willing to annually support and contribute to the Troops funding needs. We estimate that for every 25 registered members we need $6,000 per year.

Raise funds to purchase and build a retreat center. This center will be for use to Christian organizations for marriage retreats, VBS's, Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls activities, etc. We estimate the grounds to require nearly $7 million with an additional $5 million for construction and infrastructure.

Social Media Lead

As an important component of today's society, the responsibilities for this position will be to keep Treasure Sentinels social media and web content up-to-date, attractive, and relevant. The person in this role will oversee Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Sites.

A knowledge of creating attractive web content will be critical from designing graphics and uploading and sharing text and images to maintaining news feeds and calendars of events.

Public Relations Champion

Working closely with the Social Media Lead and the Fund Raising Coordinator, this role is vital for securing and maintaining relationship with members, potential members, donors, and the community in general. This role obtains information from relationships to help the Board and Committees stay informed and current.

The successful candidate will be attentive to details, sociable, personable, and willing to invest time and energy in building meaningful long term relationships. This is not just about obtaining money, this is connecting members of the community with our vision and mission and building a network support.
